What does an appraiser look at during an inspection?

Answer:
I start from the exterior of the property and then its surrounding neighborhood. I assess the quality of construction of the home and the condition of it. BONUS QUESTION: What does “condition” mean? How well has it been kept up and maintained? For the exterior, I look for holes, rotting wood, windows, and how well the building has been kept up. For the interior, I look at the condition of the flooring, cabinetry and lighting, look for any exposed electrical wires, and any other item that has been updated or needs updating.
